I’m gonna install the ip-symcon on some old, small laptop for example hp nc4400 or 2510p. But i’m not really sure what kind of CPU to choose, because i dont know what kind of application the ip-symcon is? Is it a single or multithreaded application? What would be better for ip-symcon, higher clocked single core CPU or low clocked multi core like C2D CPU?
IPS uses excessively PHP threads for your scripts. You will probably have many little scripts that run in parallel.
A Multicore CPU is, in my opinion, the better solution.
