RaspberryPi version and DB on NAS Synology

I’m moving my Symcon from PC to RaspPi, but Symcon collected over 13GB of variables data at my PC, it’s too much for Raspberry. So I want to move ma archive data to NAS, remove DB folder on RaspPi, and change it to a symbolic link to samba share of archive data. Is it correct approach or You may have better way to do that? Maybe there is „right way“ where One could change the default path to DB folder in IP-Symcon settings?

Symlinks are totally fine.

Maybe use NFS instead Samba and use a entry in /etc/fstab to mount it at boot time again.

I used NFS and autofs, works fine with my Synology
