As Swedish users of IP-Symcon I send greetings to all of you participating in today’s meeting. Have had IP-Symcon a while now and am extremely satisfied. Do not see myself as a geek but unfortunately IP-Symcon made me as such. Haha!
It is so incredibly fun to program home-automation in my spare time on evenings and weekends. With IP-Symcon I miss original integration to SONOS and other HIFI/TV products. It would be nice with „more“ clear instructions how to integrate hi-fi components, LED Television and other media products. Have a good day today. Sincerely, Dick from Stockholm
Well, the possibilities to integrate home entertainement device are not that bad.
You will find a lot of scripts in the forum which cover almost all modern home entertainment device.
What I remember we have scripts for Samsung/LG/Philips/Denon/Marantz/Yamaha/Onkyo/Sonos/Squeezebox and all UPNP device. Unfortunately all in german language…
Lets say: If the protocol and of a device is known, than it is possible to integrate it in IPS.
Even if there is nothing known about a device a basic integration via infrared transmitter (in this case IPS acts like a programable IR remote control) can be done.
But you are right, there is more or less no native out-of-the-box integration.
