Programmable logic controllers (PLC) are independent electronic modules for controlling machines and plants. They operate independent of a PC. The instructions to control and rule are stored in a program. IP-Symcon serves the visualization and human-machine interface (HMI), which is the interface between the operator and the machine.
Currently, the following PLC can be operated with the CoDeSys programming system to IP-Symcon:
The Wago, Beckhoff and ABB PLC you can control via the IP-Symcon Modbus RTU/TCP module. Since Modbus is the upper-level protocol for selection, Since Modbus protocol is the parent for the control, the name of the terminal manufacturers are not mentioned explicitly in the control module. The documentation can be found here: Modbus RTU/TCP
